Ozgun is an HCI Researcher currently based in Stockholm. She is a graduate of MA Design Engineering and MA Animation degrees at the Royal College of Art, London. Having a passion to deconstruct and understand ‘what things are made of’ and ‘how they move’ (especially the human body), she worked with this inquiry through her kinetic machines during her master studies where she coupled biosignals with simple mechanical response. She is currently a researcher in Soma Research Group at MID, KTH. Her primary focus is in harmonizing human-material interactions while designing for and with the body, blending adaptive, transformative and conforming aesthetic qualities into the design of on-body interfaces.
